Chat-GPT & Its impact on writing skill development: A case study on students of private colleges in north 24 parganas

Abstract: Developed by Open AI and released in November 2022, ChatGPT is an AI (Artificial Intelligence) chatbot. With the capacity to generate and carry on conversations about a wide range of topics, assist with coding, and meet other requirements in various fields, ChatGPT is produced by a huge family of language models. We observe alterations in the ways that technology affects us every day, particularly in the area of education. One of them in particular is Artificial Intelligence (AI), which has been one of the most significant additions to technical advancements. The emergence of AI chatbots and virtual assistants, particularly at this moment, has been observed to raise awareness of the variety of applications for AI. Now it has been observed that students are using ChatGPT on a random basis to complete their assignments which is detrimental to their logical thinking. This study aims tofind out the effects of ChatGPT on private college students of North 24 Parganas.
