Abstract: This study investigates the complex interplay between stress, anxiety, and alcohol use among individuals using standardized assessment tools including the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), and the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT). A structured questionnaire was administered to a diverse group of participants, and data was analyzed to identify patterns and correlations between psychological stress, anxiety levels, and drinking behaviors. The findings reveal a significant association between high stress and anxiety levels with increased frequency of alcohol consumption. Many participants reported using alcohol as a coping mechanism to manage emotional distress, leading to further mental health complications. The study highlights the urgent need for integrated mental health interventions, early screening, and educational initiatives that address these interrelated issues holistically. Recommendations have been made for mental health program development, improved access to counseling, and the promotion of healthier coping mechanisms to enhance emotional well-being and reduce alcohol-related harm.
