Abstract: This research paper focuses on the Ansari community and their inter-intra community dynamics within the textile industry. The Ansari community is traditionally known for their specialization in weaving skills. Textile Industry is organised into a structured hierarchy such as Gaddidar, Grihasta, and Weaver. These structured roles created a network of interactions in the industry that defines the economic and social fabric of the weaving community. This study highlights the relationships of weavers within their community as well as with other community groups involved in the textile industry. It explores the engagement of the weaving community between different hierarchical levels, including socio-economic aspects, and knowledge exchange that occurs between Gaddidars, Grihastas, and weavers. Additionally intra-community relations will also be examined, emphasizing how social, Familial and professional relationships strengthen the collective identity within the Ansari community. This research is ethnographic in nature and employs qualitative methods to analyse the everyday interactions and community dynamics of the Ansari community. By focusing on inter and intra community relations of the Ansari community, this paper offers valuable insights how community relations influence the production, transmission of traditional weaving skills and contributing to the overall preservation of the textile industry.
