Investigation of attention control and goal setting among shooter

Author(s): Gagandeep Kaur and Kulwinder Pal Singh Mahi

Abstract: The aim of this study was to determine the significant differences of Attention Control and Goal Setting among International level, National level, All India University level and State level male and female shooter. The study focused on a sample of four hundred (N=400) male and female shooters, aged between 18 and 40 years. This sample was drawn from participants competing at the International level, National level, All India University level, and State levels. The one-way ANOVA results for self-confidence across different competition levels (International, National, All India University, and State). Attention Control: The one-way ANOVA results for attention control indicate no significant difference among the four competition levels (F = 0.211, p = 0.889), suggesting that competition level does not have a significant influence on attention control. Goal Setting: the one-way ANOVA results for goal setting across different competition levels. The findings indicate no significant difference among the groups (F = 1.001, p = 0.394), suggesting that competition level does not affect goal-setting abilities.
