Author(s): Priyanka Jerold D'mello and Seema Singh

Abstract: This study looks at how Marathi poetry helps improve creative writing skills in learners, focusing on whether engaging with this unique literary style boosts originality and expression. The study uses a qualitative research method and gathers data through interviews, writing samples, and surveys from students in Marathi poetry programs, uncovering important insights about their growth as writers. Results show that involvement with Marathi poetry not only enhances the technical writing skills of participants but also supports their creative thinking and self-expression, resulting in a clear rise in originality in their creative writing works. The implications of these findings go beyond just literary education, indicating that adding Marathi poetry to creative writing courses can provide students with key skills for effective communication, which is especially important in health ear settings where clear and empathetic communication matters greatly. Additionally, this study points out the potential for poetry to act as a healing tool in healthcare, building emotional intelligence and resilience in both practitioners and patients. By highlighting the link between literature and practical skills in healthcare, this research opens up opportunities for more investigation into new educational approaches that use the expressive capacity of the arts to enhance professional training and practice.
