Multi-dimensional risk mitigation strategies in the red chilli supply chain
Author(s): Grace Otieno
Abstract: The red chilli supply chain is vital to global agricultural production, but it faces numerous risks that can disrupt its operations. From biological threats like pests and diseases to climatic fluctuations and logistical bottlenecks, these risks create substantial vulnerabilities. This review aims to explore multi-dimensional strategies designed to mitigate these challenges, focusing on Integrated Pest Management (IPM), climate-smart agriculture, and digital innovations like traceability systems. By examining the role of these strategies in enhancing resilience across the supply chain, this paper underscores the importance of collaboration, technological adoption, and sustainable practices in ensuring the long-term stability of the red chilli supply chain.
