Comparative assessment of user engagement, awareness and satisfaction in library services

Abstract: The study aimed to evaluate library usage frequency, user satisfaction, awareness of marketing strategies and opinions on library resources and digital services. A sample of 230 students from Arts and Science colleges, equally selected from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University and the University of Kerala, was surveyed using a structured questionnaire. The use of the Library Website is significantly higher than the average level, the overall awareness of students about traditional and digital strategies is at the below-average level, and the overall satisfaction of students with traditional and digital library products and services is also found to be below average level. The study recommends that library professionals maintain constant rapport with students to enhance their awareness of digital marketing techniques employed by libraries.
