Abstract: Moringa oleifera, a versatile plant from the Moringaceae family, has gained global recognition for its diverse applications in nutrition, traditional medicine, and agriculture. Its resilience to various environmental conditions and rich nutritional profile make it invaluable, especially in tropical and subtropical regions. This review explores the role of
Moringa oleifera in environmental remediation, highlighting its potential in bioremediation, water purification, and soil stabilization. The plant's ability to absorb heavy metals, improve soil fertility, and reduce air and water pollution is well-documented.
Moringa seeds, in particular, are effective natural coagulants for water purification. Additionally,
Moringa’s rapid growth and low maintenance requirements make it suitable for large-scale environmental projects. However, challenges such as its potential invasiveness and competition with native species must be addressed for sustainable implementation.
