Comparative assessment of generation Z and millennial thrift culture

Author(s): Jaskiran Kaur

Abstract: This paper investigates differences and similarities in thrift culture between Generation Z (Gen Z) and Millennials. It considers how these two generations participate in thrift shopping, their underlying motivations, as well as the cultural and economic aspects that influence their behaviour. Current trends, consumer attitudes and social media are analysed to reveal the mechanisms through which thrift culture has evolved, as well as its continuing effects on generational consumption practices.
