Abstract: This paper looks at how the Indian community is an important part of the relationship between India and the UAE. It focusses on its cultural and socioeconomic impacts. Around 3.5 million Indians live in the UAE. They are cultural representatives and economic dividend of India. It makes India's soft power more effective and much stronger. The study looks at past connections that started with old trade on the sea route. It also put some light on how they changed over time to become strong links between people. To put the diaspora's impact in its proper context, the study uses a method that combines historical research, cultural diplomacy and soft power policy.
Findings of the paper show that the diaspora has helped Indian practices become a part of Emirati culture. This can be seen in holidays, food and the spread of languages. The diaspora also strengthens economic bonds by contributing in many areas. It also boosts Indian economy through huge remittances send back to India. But there is a little issue too. Problems with workers' rights and hurdles in assimilations into local culture and among diaspora communities are still worries for many. Filling these gaps are necessary to get the most out of the diaspora's ability to improve ties between the two countries.
