Author(s): Amr Shafik and Hanan Nabi
Abstract: This study investigates the adaptation mechanisms employed by Dioscorea bulbifera, a widely distributed tuberous plant, in the challenging conditions of the Western Himalayan ecosystem. Emphasizing physiological, morphological, and genetic adaptations, the paper elucidates how these strategies contribute to the plant's survival, growth, and reproduction in varied altitudinal zones and climatic conditions prevalent in this region.
